We all know its Christmas time and normally Christmas goes hand in hand with Drinking and Fatty food , and Hey we do love this time of year, The sun is out , The beaches are calling and time with family means that the BBQ is in full swing.
Here are some pointers to help your body get through this time of the year without taking to much of a hit.
This can Take a complete hit at this time of the year because we are having so much fun , You can take some Vitamin C each day that will help support your Immune system. These will help your body cope with all the late nights and group events that are just around the corner
We all know this is going to be going hand in hand with this time of year , The first thing we do ask is please stay safe, If you are drinking please don’t drive as we all know that when you have been drinking your reaction time is slower.
Now for getting your body over the Christmas party you can either take the L-Cysteine before you go out and this will help it cope, But you also need to take something to help it afterwards , What a lot of people don’t realise is that drinking alcohol robs your body of its vitamin B so if you are going to party this Christmas break a good thing to do for your body is to take some Vitamin B , We have some great Liquids of both B 12 and B complex and also some great Tablets
Something for those parties
Taking a healthy dose of L-Cysteine before going out drinking at one of your work Christmas parties will assist your body in dealing with the alcohol you are going to consume , You can either by the product in tablet form from our store or you can get a dose of it by making yourself a nice hearty egg omelette before you go out. Enjoy your Christmas parties and drink sensibly. And remember Only a Fools drink and drive.
Try and make sure that you are interchanging water with your alcohol so that you keep yourself well hydrated while at the parties. You can also sneak some Greentea X50 into your handbag I personally add it to one litre of water in bottle , Have in it my bag and then between drinks of wine I fill the glass back up with the green tea , No one is the wiser till now that is , I am sharing my secret with you all :). Makes for a more fun night all in all. You can also take some Dandelion tea after the night out to help your tummy recover. Also drinking some Aloe helps or taking some peppermint.
Some Sun Protection
Summer is here and we all know that means sunburn and here is an interesting tip ,You can add Zinc Oxide to your favourite lotions to give you a more natural sunblock
- SPF 2-5: Use 5% zinc oxide
- SPF 6-11: Use 10% zinc oxide
- SPF 12-19: Use 15% zinc oxide
- SPF 20+: Use 20% zinc oxide
So basically weigh out a small amount of your Lotion , Work out 20% of its weight and then add that amount of Zinc Oxide , Its great if you react to sunscreen like some people do. This works great with our lotions.
If you don’t have the time you can always go to our store and purchase some sunscreen that we have.
To take the sting out of sunburn you can use everyday malt vinegar , Please make sure if you are putting this on not to go back out in the sun for the rest of the day we don’t want you doing major damage to your skin.
I know you are all smiling with this one as we all know Christmas and stress go hand in hand and they are like best friends at this time of year.
Other then shutting yourself in a room and ignoring the world there is no way to avoid stress at this time of the year wither it be from work , family or that last minute Christmas shopping.
